"A truly wonderful experience - Isa and Phillipe were genuinely welcoming into their beautiful house. We felt instantly and totally relaxed. Isa's cooking was incredible - so fresh and all from her garden. I would definately return, and for longer - we only had 2 nights here this time. Cannot recommend highly enough."

Felisa's atmosphere is a bit like a very upmarket, small backpackers lodge where you are welcome to bring your own food back to eat and use the kitchen like your own home. Really lovely and relaxing, great pool, room really good and comfortable but relatively expensive for what it was. Isa's dinner was absolutely fantastic and probably the best meal we had in France so a must if you are there over a weekend.

"Very nice place to stay in beautiful Provence"

Small and intimite accomodation situated in old town conversion. Friendly and caring patrons. Light breakfast offered in the am. Very relaxing place to stay with ambient sounds and soft tones. Very good value considering the other prices in the area.

"Gorgeous hideaway in Provence"

We stayed here for 3 nights in Sept 2008. The room was lovely, clean and fresh with a large bathroom. The house has a relaxed feel witjh a communal kitchen area for snacks, drinks. We ate breakfast (fresh pastries, orange juice and good coffee) in the garden which is small but beautifully laid out with a fantastic pool. The owners were charming and helpful and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants in Avignon. You will need a car here unless you are happy to laze by the pool with a cold beer or glass of rose!

Beauty treatments can be arranged and I regret not having taken advantage of this - maybe next time! We would warmly recommend this hotel to our friends and would definitely return.

"Fantastic time"

"We had a fantastic time at Maison Felisa. The owners Isa and Philippe could not have been more helpful and it is a great place to relax at, ideal for special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries etc. The rooms are very stylish. The only slight criticism we have is that even though we like the minimalist style there needs to be more storage and hanging space for clothes etc. We only had breakfast but the home made fruit preserves were wonderful. We appreciated the use of the mountain bikes - high quality, and also unlimited use of the pool, including the afternoon when technically we had booked out! We have already strongly recommended Maison Felisa to friends and family and hope to return ourselves. We loved the style and atmosphere. "

"Fantastic place"

"A truly fantastic place. Isa and Phillippe were generous hosts, so friendly and full of good advice and useful tips; our very own tour guides! Food review limited to breakfast as we were there midweek. A real pleasure, a shame that we were only there for 2 days. "

"One of the more memorable meals"

"My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Maison Felisa. Isa and Phillip are wonderful hosts and Isa gave us plenty of advice on where to go and what to see while we were in the area. We were also fortunate enough to have had the oppertunity to be there for one of Isa fabulous dinners which she, and with some help from Phillip, prepared for us and a few other guests on Saturday night! It was one of the more memorable meals of our trip in the south of France. Thanks again to Isa, Phillip and their beautiful dog Ulysse for a welcoming stay at Maison Felisa!"

"Breakfasts were great"

Isa and Phillippe were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was lovely and the atmosphere was great. They were particularly helpful in helping us find the best routes to the towns we wanted to visit and the best places to eat or stop for a drink. They even told us the best places to park. We didn't get a chance to sample Isa's dinners, which I hear are very good, but the breakfasts were great."

"Treated as friends"

"This stylish and yet uncomplicated hotel gave us a peaceful and relaxed time. You are treated as friends when you arrive and you leave with the feeling of leaving friends. We hope to find the time for another stay with Isa & Philipe."

"Making our stay just what we needed"

Dear Isa and Philipe.
A big thank you for making our stay just what we needed. You welcomed
us into your lovely home and made it ours while we were there. I loved
the ambiance of the house and enjoyed taking note of all the little
decorative touches you made. We were very comfortable both in our
lovely room but also in the 'Lovers corner' at the end of the garden
which we rather made our own during our stay
I know we wern't the most adventurous of guests, but we came to rest,
Malcolm in particular, and we came away having achieved just that. We
enjoyed meeting your other guests and spending time with them as well as
with you and were quite happy with our one foray into the French
countryside to Pont du Guard
as well as our local walks around the
village. All just what we needed.
Thank you!
Best wishes,
Sarah

"It is stylish in a decor which breathes calm and relaxation"

Our week at Maison Felisa at the beginning of September was one of the best. What can we say? Pass the night in a most comfortable bed, then wake to a hot shower, bath or jacuzzi. Take half an hour's complimentary yoga with Philippe and then breakfast on fresh wholemeal breads, delicious homemade jams, eggs if you wish, coffee and any number of teas or tisanes. Spend the rest of the day relaxing in the garden by the pool or venture out into the region to experience a wealth of ancient and modern landscapes, buildings museums and art, not forgetting of course, the wonderful range of Rhone wines virtually on the doorstep. In the evening, dine in one of a variety of good local restaurants, but, if you get the chance, don't miss out on Isa's quite splendid cooking at the weekend.
Maison Felisa offers B&B with a difference. It is stylish in a decor which breathes calm and relaxation thanks entirely to the generous and smiling spirit of hosts Isa and Philippe.

"So relaxed"

Dear Isa and Philippe
I shall reply in English because it is quicker for me and David is not here today.
We have had so much to do since we came home that we have been forgetting to reply. However, I hope it is not too late to say that we had a wonderful holiday with you. It now seems all so far away, but we came home not only so relaxed, but with lots to talk about. Philippe, your yoga was a fantastic start to the day and Isa, we should like to say that your dinner was quite splendid. We think it was certainly equal to the restaurant under the cliffs if not better.
Thank you both for your wonderful warm, gently and helpful hospitality.
With all good wishes for your continued time in St Laurent les Arbres and for your decision making as to your future ventures.
Judith and David

"Cannot wait to return"

"If we could score higher than the 5 offered, we would. Dinners on Friday and Saturday night are a must. The cooking school is recommeded by us. You will not find a fresher, more nutritious, lovingly prepared breakfast anywhere in Europe. If you are looking to stay somewhere in Provence, look no further than here. Check out the local eating places too. Maison Felisa is an idyllic place to stay, rest and relax. It is also very well placed for sightseeing in the area but you will need a car. Isa is a goldmine of information when it comes to sightseeing anywhere within a 3 hour radius. We could not fit in everything in our 5 days here. Cannot wait to return."

"Delightful stay"

"We had a delightful stay at Maison Felisa. Philippe and Isa are warm and welcoming hosts and the Maison itself has been updated in a chic, contemporary style whilst retaining the best of the original features - I am sure everyone who stays there must leave plotting to start their own B&B in the south of France! Our room was a calming space with jacuzzi which we made maximum use of with Isa's hand blended oils; we also had a fabulous massage - much recommended. We ate in one night - truly yummy and very good value, and sampled the local restaurants on others. I prefered the one right in the village to the one which was a ten minute walk away and trying a bit too hard. All in all a lovely place."
Janet, United Kingdom

"A lovely relaxed time"

"We had a lovely time at Maison Felisa. The room was lovely the food fabulous, the service perfect - they are such a welcoming and friendly couple. Our only complaint, which I mentioned to them is that the balcony could benefit from a light so we can sit there in the eveings. We had a lovely relaxed time, and will certainly consider going back there again. "

"We would definitely come here again"

"Isa and Philippe were excellent and welcoming hosts. They were always on hand with helpful suggestions and recommendations for interesting places to visit and good restaurants. There was a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. We would definitely come here again... We'd recommend hiring a car if you plan to stay longer than a couple of days as it is located in a relatively small village."
Adrian, United Kingdom

"A lovely place for a holiday"

"Although the room was smaller that I had imagined, it had a lovely terrace and the service and relaxed vibe of the hosts and environment made up for it. It is a lovely place for a holiday.."
Eliza, United Kingdom

"It is more like staying with friends than in a hotel"

"Isa and Philippe are superb hosts. It is more like staying with friends than in a hotel. They are so helpful and the places they recommend are excellent. Isa's food is fantastic and innovative! If you get the chance to stay here, grab it!"

"Love at first sight"

"It was love at first sight! We think everyone should experience this wonderful gem of a hotel. We will return next year! We will go back to felisa in our minds and heart always!"

"We loved the atmosphere"

"We loved the atmosphere here. Nothing was too much trouble - they are utterly charming people. It would have been nice to have coffee and tea in the room and perhaps another chair or easy chairs and even table and chairs on the balcony. Chateau Neuf du Pap was rather fun. There are many Roman sites in Nimes and Pont du Gard worth seeing. Cycling was fun and the weather was great. "

"Rustic charm and tranquility"

"Loved the holiday. A haven of rustic charm and tranquility. Isa and Philipe were quietly helpful, attentive and very friendly. They welcomed us into their home and made it ours for the duration of our stay. Missing perhaps: long mirror and hairdryer in our room. A small price to pay though."
Sarah, United Kingdom

"A beautiful place to stay"

"We had the most fantastic time. It is a beautiful place to stay and our hosts were absolutely wonderful. We'll definitey be back!"

"A perfect way to spend a break"

"We had a fantastc 4 days at Felisa. We didn't meet Isa but Philippe was a wonderful host, making us very welcome and offering lots of advise on what to do. We hope to come back again one day, it was a perfect way to spend a break without our children, thanks!"
Sally, United Kingdom

"Make our stay a success"

"This is a lovely part of France and despite having no car we managed to have a wonderful week relaxing by the pool, walking, cycling and visiting Avignon. Philippe and Isa could not have been more helpful - they are a mine of useful information and did everything to make our stay a success."
Jane, United Kingdom

"Lovely hotel"

"We had a fantastic time at Maison Felisa. Isa and Phillipe were welcoming and SO helpful. They really helped us make the most of our holiday and we can't recommend a stay at this lovely hotel highly enough."
Amelie, United Kingdom

"It is like staying in a good friends house whose taste you admire"

"Beautiful room, just that the beds were a little small and a little hard. Maison Felisa is wonderfully stylish, unpretentious, incredibly relaxing. It is like staying in a good friends house whose taste you admire. The whole place is quiet and calm and you leave feeling restored and with great memories. "
polly, United Kingdom

"Isa's cooking"

"Only issue for us was lack of local restaurants that are actually open on certain days (Sun, Mon, Tues) - you need to be prepared to drive out for dinner if you are there on early weeknights. Food rating above only applies to breakfast as we did not have chance to sample Isa's cooking."
Rachel, United Kingdom

"The highlight of our trip"

"Isa and Philippe are a wonderful couple who made our stay at Felisa the highlight of our trip. Each morning Isa would go over what we wanted to do and provide maps, suggestions, and places we might want to eat. She also prepared the best meal we had in France. On a cost basis relative to hotels where we stayed, it was a huge bargain. We would like to return. "
Barry, United States

"A wonderful place to spend our honeymoon"

"A wonderful place to spend our honeymoon. Isa and Phillippe are fabulous hosts and the dog is cool too. We can't wait to go back!"
Alun, United Kingdom

"An oasis of calm and beauty"

"We loved Maison Felisa and Isa and Philippe. They have turned a stone wreck into an oaisis of calm and beauty. Our only regret is that we had only two nights there. The yoga before breakfast was a wonderful bonus and we had the best breakfasts of our whole trip. We loved our room and enjoyed sleeping on Isa's grandmother's linen sheets. We also wished we had our husbands along to enjoy the spa tub and candles and that we had had time to take advantage of some of the spa services and Isa's cooking. They are a wonderful couple who make you feel very much at home. Thanks i-escape! "
